Simplified Chinese Pokemon TCG

In September 2022, Pokémon Shanghai Toy Limited (宝可梦（上海）玩具有限公司), a subsidiary of The Pokémon Company in Mainland China, announced the launch of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏) in Simplified Chinese. The inaugural set, "横空出世," was released on October 28, 2022.

Simplified Chinese Pokémon Cards are printed in Japan, include a blue middle layer, have silver borders, and feature the International Pokémon card back.

Authentication features

All products packaging will feature a holographic, circular sticker, displaying the Pokémon logo as well as Chinese characters for "Pokémon Shanghai". They also feature a unique product number.

Like Japanese Pokémon cards, the rarity of Chinese cards are indicated by bolded letters, rather than symbols, on the card.

Rare cards and higher feature an embossed Pokémon logo in the bottom left corner. This logo is textured and is not present on common and uncommon Pokémon cards.

Even rarer cards have an additional logo and pokeball embossed on the right as well.
